We are sad to announce that the BTCC at Cotswolds on 24th May is postponed.  Maybe we can run it later in the year but for the moment we have to postpone.

This year we will run 3 Touring classes including the 17.5T class with handout Hobbywing motor and fixed gear ratio.  The traditional super fast Modified and 13.5T ‘Blinky’

We will also add the up and coming FWD (Fronty) class this year.


23rd/24th May - Cotswolds

20th/21st June - Halifax

2nd August - Bedworth

In an attempt to have a true entry level class that is not too fast and does not require expensive motors to compete.  The motors will be rented (included in entry fee) for a very low price of £5 per meeting.  Motors will be collected from the organiser Sunday morning and returned after the race on Sunday evening.   Motors for practice/testing maybe purchased from usual UK retail outlets.

These motors will be sealed and cannot be opened to modify bearings, rotor etc ... Therefore, any driver who fails to comply with this rule will be disqualified from the race.

The use of cooling fans is allowed and recommended.

Touring car classes will run to normal BRCA rules.

Wet tyre is XG-Rain - Shimizu D01J Wet Pre-Glued - pk4  (V1 or V2)

Maximum lipo voltage of 8.40v. Lipos must be charged in closed lipo sacks, at no more than the maximum charge rate advised by the manufacturer.

Motors, lipos, ‘blinky’ ESCs and touring car bodies must all be on the relevant BRCA approved lists.


Tracks will be open Saturday for practice for BTCC competitors only for Cotswolds and Halifax but NOT Bedworth. Bedworth will be a 1 day Sunday only event.  Please do not book in for the meeting with the intension of not racing and only coming on Saturday to practice.  This creates major hassle for the organisers and anyone found doing this will be denied an entry for the next round. (Unless extremely exceptional circumstances arise)

The cost for Saturday practice will be £5.


Best 2 from 3 results to count for championship.

The traditional annual Cecil Schumacher Trophy will continue for the Modified class, join the list of elite winners such as Olly Jefferies, Andy Moore, Chris Grainger and Elliott Harper!

The annual Robin Schumacher Trophy will be presented for the 13.5T class.

Points system as BRCA nationals.

Round by Round qualifying is normal. It will be announced at drivers briefing how many qualifying rounds there will be depending on entry numbers.  Normally 1 final for all.

All drivers MUST be BRCA members and be able to show their BRCA licence.

Entry fee for 13.5T and Modified will be £17.

Entry fee for 17.5T will be £21 and include rental of motor for the day.  Motors will be available on Sunday morning, help with soldering will be available if needed.  

Booking in via Central Booking, closing date Thursday 12.01pm before each meeting.  At this is the point the entry files get sent to the host track.  Late entries on the day if there is space available will be £22 for 13.5T, Modified and FWD £26 for 17.5T.

Race entry refunds only available if cancelled 2 weeks prior to event.  Notification must be sent to chris(at) (Not on facebook) Refund amount will be £14 and £18 for 17.5 class due to admin and paypal fees.  Every effort will be made to accommodate reserves where possible, but refunds for reserves will not be made.  Entries cannot be moved to a later event if trying to do so within 2 week cancellation period.

Class numbers will initially be set at the below and adjusted accordingly as entries come in.

If a particular class has less than 5 drivers you may be asked to do another class.
