BRCA 2023 Off Road Nationals Rd2 Mendip
26 May 2023

This past weekend was the second round of the hugely competitive UK BRCA National series at Mendip Raceway.
There was once again a maximum entry of 120 drivers in both the 2wd and 4wd classes, the event is 2wd on Saturday and 4wd on Sunday.
The race format was round by round qualifying, with the best 2 results from 4 rounds of qualifying counting towards the final position.
Then one final for all competitors except for 3 leg A finals.
The Mendip crew had designed a fantastic track layout for our event, a huge thank you to them all for their hard work and dedication and especially Martin Owen who spent many hours organising everything.
In 2wd qualifying it was a close battle between Tommy Hall, Neil Cragg and Josh Holdsworth, this was the order they would line up on the grid.
The A Final 2wd result after all 3 legs was:
1 Tommy Hall
2 Neil Cragg
3 Josh Holdsworth - Schumacher
4 Ben Smith - Schumacher
5 Ben Pugh
6 Lee Martin - Schumacher
7 Luke Holdsworth - Schumacher
8 Jamie Hall
9 Charlie Saunders
10 Edward Callan - Schumacher

In 4wd qualifying, it was a close battle between Jamie Hall, Tommy Hall and Ben Smith, this is the order they would line up on the grid.
The A Final 4wd result after all 3 legs was:
1 Jamie Hall
2 Tommy Hall
3 Lee Martin - Schumacher
4 Neil Cragg
5 Ben Smith - Schumacher
6 Josh Holdsworth - Schumacher
7 Luke Holdsworth - Schumacher

This was a brilliant event with some superb close racing.
