The final BRCA Touring Car National took place last weekend and again was mighty successful for the Schumacher Team.
As we confirmed last week Chris Grainger had already claimed the modified title with his Mi4LP before this race. This gave him his second consecutive title with Schumacher. With this weekend really a celebration for Chris, he enjoyed his racing with no pressure and brought home 3rd place from Andy Moore and Olly Jefferies.
With the modified title wrapped up for Chris all attention turned to the Pro Stock Championship. Schumacher driver James Hart was right in the hunt and needed to win the race with his closest competitor Jon Bowden not finishing in the top three, or he would take the title. James held up his end of the bargain with a dominant display TQing 4 of the 5 rounds of qualifying with a new track record to boot and winning all three legs of the final. Unfortunatly Jon Bowden just managed to finish third after some good drives so took the championship by 1 point from the unlucky James.
Overall in the Modified Championship the Mi4LP took 5 positions in the top 10, with Chris Grainger, Colin Price, Chris Kerswell, Matt White and Chris Ashton all showing strongly.
In the Pro Stock Championship the Mi4LP also took many of the top spots.
Unknown to most was the fact that some of the team were running a later version of the Mi4, the new Mi4CX. Full details on the replacement for the Mi4LP are due out shortly but we expect the car to be out around November time.
Congratulations on a great season in the BRCA TC Championships from all at Schumacher.
