Schumacher’s new CAT SX3 has taken the top 3 Qualifying positions at the very popular Schumacher Indoor Masters at Worksop over the weekend.
Prototype versions of the new car were in action for the first time in public competition and dominated qualifying. Simon Moss won all 4 qualifying rounds ahead of a competitive field showing huge potential and already showing great speed.
Not only did Simon TQ but this was also followed up by Grant Williams and Tom Cockerill qualifying 2nd and 3rd respectively with their new cars. Unfortunately work commitments meant that Simon had to head off before the finals.
TQ Simon Moss - CAT SX3
2 Grant Williams - CAT SX3
3 Tom Cockerill - CAT SX3
4 Nathan Waters
5 Paul Bradby
6 Craig Collinson
7 David Poulter - CAT SX2
8 Rob Fox
9 Greg Williams - CAT SX2
10 Adam Skelding
This left Grant and Tom to try and battle it out in the single leg final and after some good fighting Grant got the better of Tom. A perfect weekend for the car was almost wrapped up only for an unfortunate incident with a corner marshal prevented Grant from winning. In the end Grant came 3rd behind Nathan Waters and Craig Collinson.
All in all a good showing for the new car.
