The weekend of the 5/6th of May saw the first round of the AMSCI national championship in Bientina (PI) Italy.
Changeable conditions made for a difficult race for all drivers, with the track going from wet to dry and back to wet again.
Round by round qualifying went well for the Schumacher team, despite very wet conditions for the last two qualifiers.
The heavy rain continued before the finals prompting the race director to call off the finals resulting in the qualifying positions counting as the final standings.
After five tough qualifying rounds, Schumacher driver Lorenzo Bigi took a well deserved second place in the Modified E-1 Class.
In the Stock 13.5t E-2 class, young Schumacher driver Michelangelo Tagliavini took an excellent second place, with new Schumacher driver Matteo Berlincioni just behind in Third position. Leonardo Tagliavini also made the A final taking 9th position.
Congratulations to the Schumacher team on these excellent results.
