West Bridgford Model Car Club ran the 1st of their Indoor winter series at their great facility in the county of Nottinghamshire.
The carpet track had a good mix of jumps and obstacles which tested the drivers’ reactions over the day. The 2wd heats started and finished with Lloyd Storey who was on impressive form with a faultless display of driver skill showed us just what he can do. Qualifying 1st in all 4 rounds showed that Lloyd knew what he was doing.
The top ten had 6 of the Schumacher Cougar SV2s in which shows just how popular the car is getting. Schumacher driver Greg Williams qualified 2nd behind Lloyd Storey with Tristram Neal 3rd, Eugene Galley 5th, Matt Owen 7th and Wes Jolly 9th.
The Final Started out in Grid order with the Greg Tagging along with Lloyd putting pressure on for the first half of the race. Eugene managed to work his way up to forth behind Tristram Neal. Lloyd managed to pull a ahead of Greg giving himself some breathing space Greg held second until the penultimate lap where he crashed Tristram to get into second.
A last Lap Dash right to the line gave Tristram 2nd place with Eugene 4th Matt Owen 5th and Wes Jolly 6th.
This gave a Top 6 Cougar SV2 Lock out which is clearly an indication of just how strongly this car is performing!
Also a well done to Mark Fletcher who came second place in 4WD with his Schumacher SX3 behind winner James Helliwell.
