This weekend Titchfield Off Road club in Hampshire hosted the annual Rudebits GP. The club laid out a great track which was flowing and had numerous jumps to challenge the racers.
Saturday afternoon was open practice for all, which allowed everyone to familiarise themselves with the layout and high grip astro turf.
Schumacher driver Lloyd Storey entered the 4wd class and was able to top the timed practice which ensured he would start off first in the top heat of qualifying. The qualifying format was the best 2 scores form 3 rounds. Lloyd took the top spot in the first 2 rounds of qualifying and guaranteed the TQ honours for the A final.
The TORCH club decided to add a twist to all finals, and reversed the grid order, meaning the pole man would start off from 10th position, and the finals would be 7 minutes.
It was going to be tough with Lloyd now starting at the back of the grid for the A final, but after the 7 minutes were complete, Lloyd managed to take the win to wrap up a perfect weekend with his Schumacher K1.
Thanks to the TORCH club and Rudebits for a great weekends racing.
