After a well attended series throughout the winter Carpet Wars hosted by Maritime Raceway was coming to the end and for TC3 the Championship was still undecided going into the final round. With 4 drivers still able to clinch the title qualifying was going to be interesting, after round 1 Rob Sawell, Azman Sulaiman and Tim Langdell were on the pace pretty much guarantying them a place in the A final with there first run time, Mark Marshall still had it all to do after suffering car troubles early on. Round 2 and 3 saw Mark Marshall improve in both rounds bringing him back in contention for the title. Round 4 was going to be the main round with all 4 drivers Knowing they need to get as high as possible in this final round, both Rob Sawell and Mark Marshall improved securing them a high spot on the grid with Azman Suliman and Tim Langdell relying on there first round time hoping they had done enough. FTD 13.5 1 Tom reynolds 2 Rob Sawell 3 Mark Marshall 4 Azman Sulaiman 9 Tim langdell The Carpet Wars championship 2009/10 had come down to the last final for stock 13.5 and all 4 drivers knowing what they had to do. At the start Mark got tangled up off the line leaving Tom and Rob chance to leave the trailing pack, for 9 laps Tom and Rob pulled a good lead when car problems meant Tom had to retire leaving a clear track ahead for Rob, At the back of the pack both Mark and Tim were moving up through the field with Mark posting the fastest lap time in the final, towards the front both Rob and Azman had settled it to a good rhythm putting in consistent laps knowing that finishing was the most important thing to gain good points. At the 5 minute buzzer both Mark and Tim had put in an impressive performance to get back to the top 4.
