This weekend saw the first round of the Italian UISP touring car championship take place in Scandiano, Reggio Emilia. The Championship is split across three classes, SPORT (Foam tyres and 10.5 motor) SUPERSPORT (Sorex 36EU control tyres and Speed Passion 10.5 control motor) and MODIFIED (Sorex 36EU control tyres and 5.5t motor). This the first race of a three round series, was run indoors and was very well attended with 98 drivers across the three classes. The largest class with fifty drivers was the SUPERSORT category and Schumacher drivers Davide Minissale, Mattia Dall'Oca and Adalberto Zapparoli put on an excellent showing. Qualifying ended with a Schumacher 1-2-3 with Adalberto 1st, Davide 2nd and Mattia in 3rd position all plioting the Mi4 LP. The finals saw a shake up in positions and Davide Minissale came from 2nd on the grid to take the win! Mattia moved up to take 2nd overall and Adalberto just missed out on a podium finish taking 4th place. The Sport class also saw schumacher drivers occupy three of the top ten positions with young driver Michelangelo Tagliavini taking 4th spot, Lorenzo Bigi 6th and Andrea Aquilino finishing up in 8th position. Modified saw Daniel Baldissarri take 6th spot in the A with his Mi4 LP Congratulations to all drivers who attended.
