The fourth round of the Worksop Series took place this past weekend, again attracting a great entry, 15 full heats of drivers so it was going to be a busy day!
Schumacher control tyres as always are used at this series, this being the Yellow Mini Pin all round on the car.
As always Round by round qualifying was the order of the day, with the best 2 results from 4 rounds of qualifying counting towards the final position.
In 2wd Danny Mcgee had set TQ and was looking good for the win also, unfortunately he made a mistake coming on to the main straight in the final and it didn't happen for him. Therefore Craig Collinson took the win ahead of a hard charging Richard Lowe coming from 8th on the grid and Tom Cockerill finishing 3rd at the end of the 5 minutes.
After all of the racing action the A Final 2wd result was:
1 Craig Collinson Team C
2 Richard Lowe Associated
3 Tom Cockerill Yokomo
4 Eugene Galley Schumacher
5 James Helliwell Schumacher
6 Greg Williams Schumacher
7 Jonathan Skidmore VBC
8 Steven Pierce Yokomo
9 Karl Marsden Kyosho
10 Danny McGee Schumacher
In 4wd Danny McGee also set TQ and this time drove a superb race to bring home the victory, a faultless drive saw Danny lead from start to finish and never looked in any doubt of losing this race.
Behind him, Craig Collinson would finish a great 2nd and James Helliwell would get himself on the podium in 3rd.
The 4wd A Final result was:
1 Danny McGee Schumacher
2 Craig Collinson Team C
3 James Helliwell Schumacher
4 Ben Jemison Schumacher
5 Mitchell Fiddling Schumacher
6 Steven Pierce Xray
7 Greg Williams Schumacher
8 Richard Lowe Hot Bodies
9 Allan O Brien Team C
10 Chris Pattinson Schumacher
