This weekend we have run the 2nd round of the Norwegian Nationals at Greenland Model Car Club's astro track in Skien, Norway.
Saturday in 2wd I qualified 6th and ended up fifth, but the best Schumacher was the 3rd placed Thorbjørn Døler with his KF2SE. Sindre qualified 7th but the wet astro track got the best of him this time and he had to settle for ninth in the end. The Associated driver Joakim Nikolaissen took the win on his home track in front of the Xray super star and magically talented Malin Karlsen.
For me, the KF2 was excellent even in the wet, but I suffered from too little time to practice on the very bumpy track.
Today we have had rain and wet track all day and the K2 was really brilliant and immediately on point. I qualified 2nd today behind the young star Malin, and in front of the Team Associated driver Joakim Nikolaissen. Malin took the two first legs of the final and won the event in style. In ended third in the two first legs but knew I had a chance to get 2nd with a win in the last final. And I did! I took the third leg in front of Joakim and got 2nd overall.
Today Since was also more confident with his K2 today and after qualifying 5th he also managed to conserve the 5th position also in the final standings.
Thanks to Roy Gjemble for the report!
