The Famous DHI Cup was held on the weekend of the 6-7-8th January and ran in Denmark's ‘Stadium Arena Fyn’ located in Odense.
The meeting started out very well with a great start from Michal Orlowski in both classes taking the top spot in qualifying. In the 2wd finals Michal with his KF2 SE had a strong race and managed to take the win in the first two legs. Choosing to sit out of the third leg with the 2wd wrapped up Jorn Neumann took the win with Marc Rheinard second. Jorn Neumann took second overall and Marc Rheinard third.
In 4wd with his CAT K2 it was a tougher race for Michal with greater pressure from David Ronnefalk, but Michal withheld it and managed to take the first leg. In the second leg David pressured Michal into a mistake which let David through to take the win. With the third round becoming the deciding round the pressure was on for both of them. The cars ran nose to tail until Michal made a mistake so David went through but with an increase of pace Michal caught up and forced David into an error which allowed him to get past and take the final Leg to claim the win.
With a TQ and win in both classes this is an excellent result from Michal. Also big thanks to the Team that were there who had some great results!
